I am currently savoring a US keyboard layout in Brugge, Belgium. It makes it much easier to type at my natural speed. Many of the countries have very weird keyboards here as they try to cram in all the extra and accented characters. France is the worst and Belgium is second worst.

Brugge is the capital of the Flanders region and okelley-dokelly fun-er-ino! It is a day trip from Brussels and an incredibly beautiful city. I shot close to four rolls today among the streets. It has canals, cobblestone streets, and even four windmills! Bicycles are the most popular way to get around.

Earlier today in the hostel, someone relieved me of around $20 in Belgian franks in my wallet while I showered. I had the wisdom to take my neck pouch with over $200 in US and other currencies, my passport, and credit card with me. My camera was packed in my backpack and less visible than my shorts which were on top of my stuff. Had I lost it, even though it is fully insured, two of my lens caps alone would have been worth $20.

Before Belgium, I spend four days around Barcelona. The last day was in Girona, an old but boring small city an hour from Barcelona. My final full day in Barcelona was spent getting burnt at the beach with two American girls I met the night before at the international window of the train station.

In Barcelona, I visited a friend of a friend for a day and also spent some time with my favorite dead architect, Antoni Gaudi.

Tomorrow, I head into Amsterdam for a few days. A Dutch sister of a friend's friend is going to show me around the city. After that, I have one last job interview in Berlin. I may be very close to getting a nice job in the city... there are two companies I will gladly work for if they make me an offer.

The city itself is very cheap due to a housing glut. The 25 days of vacation plus 12 of national holidays is hard to turn down. I would also like to explore more of Eastern Europe, too. For example, I'd be 3 hours from Prague.

Following my job interview in Berlin, I am going to spend 10 days staying with and around with a friend from Sweden. We're going to see Weezer and several other bands at a large music festival in Hultsfred, rockparty.se.
