This is a "total package" project where I performed all the reporting, photography and multimedia design. The finished pieces were a full-length article and a Flash graphic. It was an enterprise piece where I set out to research problem intersections for traffic accidents in St. Petersburg, Florida. Research lead me to the local traffic management center. It was surprising that a single engineer and a Dell Pentium III computer were responsible for the traffic lights at every intersection in the city. The challenge was unraveling the highly automated system into a form that an average reader could understand.
