Detroit Auto Show | Gannett News Service
I built this graphic for the Detroit News to help them with their annual Detroit Auto show coverage. It lets people explore the exhibit floor visually, using a map of the convention center to navigate. Visitors could launch sideshows and listen to auto commentary from reporters.
The graphic loads all its content through an XML file. This allowed for frequent updates through the Detroit New's editorial system. Even though about 40 brands of cars are shown, the graphic only has two screens: the convention center map and brand information. Visitor traffic through the graphic was tracked through integration with Ominiture.
